Clubs & Societies

Joining a club or society is a great way of meeting people who share your interests, there are well over 150 registered on campus so it shouldn’t be too hard to find one that suits you and all Arts and Social Sciences students are automatically members of ArtsSoc.

Education Society (EdSoc)

EdSoc is a student led society that aims to instil a greater understanding, appreciation and interest in the whole notion of education among students. EdSoc hopes to make studying education enjoyable, both academically and socially, and to create a fun, supportive and healthy atmosphere within the society.

EdSoc will provide:

  • A common meeting ground for teachers, graduates and undergraduates in the School of Education.
  • Liaison with Arc@UNSW, the Student Representative Council (SRC), the School of Education, and others on issues that affect education in the university.
  • A student body that can represent students views in regards to their education.
  • A means for furthering the interests of members and representing their views, particularly in matters related to education.
  • Other liaison with Arc and the Student Representative Council (SRC).
  • Various social and academic events.
  • Club activities include BBQs, volunteering opportunities, peer mentoring sessions, education seminars, drink nights, end of year ball and social gatherings at the roundhouse or external venues.

Arts Society (ArtsSoc)

The UNSW Arts Society is for students who are currently studying any FASS (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) degree. ArtsSoc provides support to current FASS students on campus with their university experience. This includes activities such as BBQs, mentoring, parties, talks and other social activities.
