2017 Premier Teacher scholarshipThe Premier’s Teacher Scholarships program enables NSW teachers from government and non-government schools as well as TAFE NSW Institutes to undertake a 5-week international study tour. Scholarship recipients visit some of the world’s best institutions and centres of learning to consult with experts and observe exemplary practices related to a specific aspect of their curriculum.

Their study tour presents a unique opportunity for teachers to develop their existing skill set and subject knowledge in their chosen field of expertise. The scholarship has the long term benefit of enhancing student Cath Barcan 2017 Creative Arts Scholarshiplearning, as teachers return to the classroom professionally inspired and equipped with new practices.

The Premier’s Teacher Scholarship recipients were announced in the Gallery Room at the NSW State Library on Wednesday 9 August 2017.

The recipient of the Premier’s University of New South Wales Creative Arts Scholarship was Cath Barcan. Representing UNSW on the night was Dr Maras, Deputy Head of School (Learning & Teaching), School of Education.
