Master of Education Programs
Program Overview
The Master of Education programs offer specialist study for educational professionals. The programs are designed to develop educational expertise and contemporary academic and professional skills and knowledge related to the student's field of Education.
The School of Education offers seven Master of Education plans for professional development:
- Master of Education in Educational Studies
- Master of Education in Assessment and Evaluation
- Master of Education in Educational Psychology
- Master of Education in Gifted Education
- Master of Education in Higher Education
- Master of Education in Special Education
- Master of Education in TESOL
Career Opportunities
The programs aim to enhance your career options and professional advancement within a broad range of educational institutions. Graduates can progress into specialist fields of education by developing and extending thier understanding of a critical area of education.
Practical Experience
Students may gain field experience by undertaking the course Advanced Professional Practice. Research experience for further study may be gained through research methodology and research project coursework.
Entry Requirements
A recognised Bachelor degree, plus either a preservice teaching qualification or three years full time experience in education or training.
The Master of Education is not an accredited pre-service education program. For those graduates wishing to qualify to teach in NSW schools, please see the Master of Teaching and the Graduate Diploma in Education.
