Educational Leadership

Master of Educational Leadership

The Master of Educational Leadership is designed to provide aspiring and current educational leaders with an understanding of recent developments in theory, research, policy and practice in educational leadership.  The program consists of eight courses. Two core courses and four elective courses are selected from Educational Leadership, and two courses may be selected from either the Educational Leadership electives or Master of Education courses. Students wishing to go on to higher degree study after graduation are encouraged to include research methodology and a research project as part of their program. Subject to the approval of the Program Convenor, a student may also select up to two Master level courses from other Schools and Faculties at UNSW.

Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership

The Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership is designed to provide aspiring and current educational leaders with a short and flexible program which enables them to access recent developments in theory, research, policy and practice in educational leadership. The program consists of four courses, including one core course and three elective courses from Educational Leadership. Students who have successfully comple ted the requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership may choose to apply for entry to the Master of Educational Leadership program, and if successful, will be given 50% credit.

Entry Requirements
A recognised Bachelor degree and relevant experience in education or training.
