Welcome to School of Education
The School of Education, located in the John Goodsell Building, was established in 1960. It specialises in research and teacher education at the preservice and inservice levels, with a particular focus on secondary and higher education contexts. Its programs include a preservice undergraduate BEd which can be combined as a dual degree with a range of various undergraduate degrees including Arts, Commerce, Economics, Music, and Science. It also has two postgraduate preservice secondary teacher education programs: the Graduate Diploma in Education and an innovative Master of Teaching, as well as various Postgraduate Certificate and Masters-level programs (including specialisations in Assessment and Evaluation, Educational Psychology, Educational Studies, Gifted Education, Higher Education, Special Education, and Education Leadership) and research higher degree programmes, including an MPhil in Higher Education, and Master's and PhD programs.
